Kathleen Sullivan
Senior Communications Manager (NC)
Kathleen brings more than 20 years of experience in strategic communications in federal government, nonprofit conservation work, and technology to her role leading the effort to tell the story of SELC’s work in North Carolina. She is driven by her love of nature and the South — from the backyard magic of fireflies, to meandering bayous and streams, to the diversity of people whose stories, cultures, and histories make our region so vibrant. She believes our health and well-being are all tied together.
SELC’s work to secure the cleanup of coal ash pollution across North Carolina along with the work to stop GenX and other PFAS pollution from Chemours into the Cape Fear River are prime examples to Kathleen of what the organization can accomplish. Her favorite places to visit include Smoky Mountains National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
